We also get oil inventories (a 1.5 million barrel drop is expected. Inventories have fallen in 10 of the last 11 weeks).

September 11: Remember

In the news, it is all about Canadian company earnings. Lululemon posted second quarter results of $0.33 per share versus $0.39 last year and the street’s $0.29 estimate. Revenue came in above estimates as well at $390.7M versus $377M. In an additional bit of good news for LULU bulls, the company raised its full year outlook by one cent for a new range of $1.72-$1.77 (was $1.71-$1.76 and the street’s $1.74).

The world ain't ending yet

On the news front – watch for U.S. President Obama to lay out his ISIS strategy tonight; Lululemon, Dollarama, Reitmans, Transcontinental report results tomorrow; Philip Morris raised its quarterly dividend to $1 from 94 cents; the economic calendar is light (although a big weekend is coming for Chinese data); Dollar General in the news as it starts its tender offer for Family Dollar at $80 cash (the best deal on the table right now); and speaking of dollars, watch our Canadian dollar on yesterday’s reversal and the continuing strength in the U.S. dollar. And, while I might be early, watch oil.
