ECB cuts trio of rates

The big news today is the ECB cutting a trio of rates (main refinancing operations down to 0.05% from 0.15%, lending facility to 0.3% from 0.1% and deposit facility to 0.2% from 0.1%). 8:30 a.m. EST will be the time for more details from Mario Draghi including discussion or detail on asset back security (ABS) purchases.

The inversion situation

Lots of items on BNN to highlight including an interview with the CEO of BTI Systems, discussion on housing affordability in Canada (which apparently improved in the most recent quarter) and always an eye on Ukraine-Russia where fighting continues in various spots. Markets are tense and down but we are approaching the long weekend. Traders don’t like to be too open with three days of no trading ahead of them.
