Bombardier Inc. (BBD.B-T) has received six firm orders for business jets in a transaction valued at around $255 million US, the company said on Tuesday.
Bombardier, the world's No. 3 aircraft maker, said an unnamed customer had ordered three Challenger and three Global jets.
The orders come days after the Montreal-based company reported much a stronger-than-expected quarterly profit, partly due to a revival in business jet orders after a two-year slump.
Bombardier's aerospace unit got a major lift this month from a massive order of up to 120 business jets from Warren Buffet's NetJets Inc., a deal that could be worth as much as $6.7 billion.
