Future Shop looks to bargain hunters

"The indicators are suggesting there is going to be very little cannibalization," Harry Parmar, Vice President, Customer Solutions Group at Future Shop, tells BNN. "There's a value conscious customer that is looking for the latest and greatest technology at incredible prices."

Parmar also said that soaring debt loads and growing economic uncertainty did little to keep customers away on Boxing Day, the company's strongest day for sales.

"Every year we seem to do better than the previous year and again we've had another record year for Boxing Day," he says.
