Oil and gas producer Tethys Petroleum—which has projects in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan—is now making strides in neighboring Tajikistan.
In reference to a recent find in Tajikistan, President and CEO David Robson tells BNN: “we have what every oilman wants to see—a good kick of oil.”
Tethys also recently pre-qualified to bid for exploration rights in northern Afghanistan.
“Geologically it’s the same basin as Tajikistan and southern Uzbekistan… The north is actually pretty stable… and it’s a logical place to look for more,” he says.
