Canada’s seventh-largest bank, Laurentian Bank, celebrates its 165th anniversary this year.

CEO Rejean Robitaille tells BNN that in its 165 year history, its best four years have been the last four years, “And during a very difficult environment. We’re quite proud of that.”

Laurentian is a proponent of the Maple Group bid for TMX Group but has not joined the bid.

“The Maple approach could provide opportunities to the TMX to continue to develop in the future,” Robitaille says.
