Market coming for alternative fuels in auto sector: Westport CEO

Westport Innovations and General Motors have agreed to work together to develop natural gas powered-engines mainly for light-duty vehicles. The Vancouver-based company plans to add more staff and open up a technical development site in Michigan.

Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, but Westport will “share” some of the expenses with GM, CEO David Demers tells BNN.
