RIM hits back at anonymous letter on website
Beleaguered BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM-T) on Thursday responded to a critical letter posted on a tech website and credited to an unidentified senior RIM executive by saying it was aggressively addressing its challenges.
The 1,700-word letter, signed by an anonymous RIM employee, castigated the BlackBerry maker for failing to focus on user experience or developer relations, being too beholden to carriers and questioning whether the co-CEO structure was efficient.
In its response, RIM said senior management was "aggressively addressing both the company's challenges and its opportunities," citing its solid balance sheet, profitability and substantial international growth.
"RIM is more committed than ever to serving its loyal customers and partners around the world," it said.
