TSX’s biggest movers in the second quarter

Thursday marks the end of what has been a lackluster quarter for the Canadian economy. BNN speaks with Douglas Porter, economist at BMO Capital Markets, for his take on what investors can expect as we move into another earnings season.

“We’re cautiously optimistic [for the third and fourth quarter]. We’re not calling for gang busters growth by any stretch of the imagination,” he says. “We’re looking at growth between 2.5 to 3 percent for the third and fourth quarter.”
