Randy Cass, CFA, Founder of Orchard Asset Management was a regular contributor to BNN, He is now the anchor of Market Sense. Randy was the CEO of First Coverage, a financial services software company he co-founded in 2006. First Coverage was acquired by London based YouDevise in 2011. Randy began his career as a Derivatives Trader at TD Securities and then moved to managing portfolios at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board. In addition to his experience in the institutional investment industry, he is also an attorney, having earned his law degree from the University of Toronto and being called to the bar as a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Randy is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and sits on the board of directors of the Toronto CFA Society. Randy earned an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where he graduated on the Dean’s List.
