The centerpiece of Report on Business Television's schedule is "DayWatch," a 12-hour block of programming that covers global market activity and provides insight and analysis to investors.

6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
From CNNfn in New York, "Ahead of the Curve" provides viewers with a recap of the previous day's stories as well as a first look at trading in Europe and Asia. CNNfn's market experts offer insight and analysis about what is likely to unfold on Wall Street when the North American markets open.

7:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
DaywatchReport on Business Television commences its original programming each weekday with a summary of trading activity on European and Asian exchanges as well as a look ahead to the business day in North America. There are also company profiles, newsmaker interviews and the most extensive reporting and analysis of economic data on Canadian television. Brett Harris leads ROBTv's early morning coverage with economic analysis and insight from Linda Nazareth and equities reports from Lou Schizas.

STEAK AND EGGS
9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Steak & EggsHosted by Howard Green, "Steak and Eggs" is an informal and fast paced segment about the coming day on North American markets. The segment features reports and commentary from ROBTv's Susan Prince, Globe and Mail journalists, Bay Street analysts and occasionally a celebrity or "left fielder."

"Daywatch" resumes with Brett Harris reporting on the first half hour of trading on North American exchanges.

Live from New York, CNNfn provides viewers with continuing market coverage, newsmaker interviews and a U.S. news update.

Veteran Canadian business anchor Jim O'Connell resumes Report on Business Television's coverage of North American market activity. He is joined by Michael Hainsworth who provides viewers with a review of the TSE 300 composite index's key indicators as well as a review of the stocks that were identified as possible movers earlier in the day. Jeanne Yurman, ROBTv's correspondent on Wall Street, provides updates from the world's financial capital.

MARKET CALL WITH JIM O'CONNELL
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Market Call"Market Call with Jim O'Connell" is Canada's only daily national interactive program for investors. Each day, "Market Call" features a Bay Street analyst as well as Bruce Sellery, Report on Business Television's stocks editor. Together, they respond to viewer questions on a wide range of stocks.

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Jim O'Connell resumes Report on Business Television's coverage of trading on North American markets. Michael Hainsworth provides updates on companies that have released news since the markets opened and provides an update of CDNX activity. Bruce Sellery reports on top stocks. ROBTv reporter Phil De Mont also provides further depth on the day's top business stories.

ON THE MONEY
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET
On the MoneyIn the stock market, it really pays to get it right. On the Money is a new daily program on Report on Business Television that aims to give investors everything they need to improve their odds. The program will cover the equities markets in-depth, with a focus on Canadian stocks. Targeted at the keeners - institutional investors, or very active retail investors - On the Money is anchored by ROBTv Stocks Editor Bruce Sellery. In addition to a comprehensive wrap of mid-day trading, the program will introduce a number of new feature segments like:

  • One-to-One: A chance for viewers to directly question Canadian CEOs via telephone or e-mail.
  • The Hot Seat: Venture capitalists, portfolio managers and industry analysts - both veterans and rising stars - give their opinions on where investors should place their bets.
  • The Perfect Pick: Money managers talk about what led them to both their biggest windfall and worst failure - and what they learned in the process.

    THE CLOSE
    3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    The Close"The Close" with Janis Mackey-Frayer is Canada's most comprehensive afternoon summary of trading and business news. Mackey-Frayer is joined by Michael Hainsworth who comments on the most active stocks by both volume and percentage. At 5:30 p.m., Report on Business Television announces the results of "Your Call," the network's web question of the day. Bruce Sellery provides viewers with some analysis about the day's winners and losers and Phil De Mont presents "The Lead." Jeanne Yurman and Pat Kiernan provide updates from New York.

    TALKING MUTUAL FUNDS WITH RANGA CHAND
