The single winning ticket for the $70-million Lotto Max jackpot from Tuesday’s draw was sold in Brampton, Ont., the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced in a statement Wednesday.

The ticker holder, or holders, have not yet come forward to claim their winnings.  

The prize, once it’s claimed, will be the biggest lottery prize awarded in Canadian history, OLG said in the release.



Tuesday’s draw also produced other big wins across the province including:

• Six Maxmillions tickets worth $1 million each; sold in Brampton, Hamilton, the Niagara Region, Oshawa, Ottawa and Pickering, Ont.

• Two Maxmillions tickets worth $500,000 each; sold in Niagara Falls and Perth County, Ont.

• Two Maxmillions tickets worth over $333,333.40 each; sold in Richmond Hill and Toronto, Ont.

OLG estimates the next Lotto Max jackpot draw, which takes place takes place Friday, will be worth $33 million.
