So how does real-time data work? Click on any stock in our scrolling stock ticker – or look up any stock trading on the TSX in our search bar – and you’ll head to our stock pages. During trading hours, you’ll notice the price updating every few seconds. You can also see real-time pricing by heading to our markets page and scrolling down to the Market Movers table. All of the quotes, volumes and pricing information are up to the second. You can keep that information up-to-the-second by reloading the page.

The stock ticker on our homepage is also accurate up to the second.

Not sure if a quote is real time? Look for the message REAL-TIME QUOTE underneath the name of the stock or check the ticker symbol for the .TO extension – either indicates up-to-the second pricing.
