Kevin O'Leary co-founded SoftKey Software Products in 1983. With O'Leary as its
president, SoftKey was the first software company to apply the principles of consumer
goods marketing to the software industry. In early May 1999 -- three years after
changing its name from SoftKey to The Learning Company, the Mattel Toy Company
acquired it for $3.7 billion. O’Leary co-hosts BNN's SqueezePlay with
Amanda Lang, a program that has developed a cult following among financial professionals
and smart investors with its pull-no-punches look at the good, the bad and the
ugly on Bay and Wall Streets.
