TransAlta’s quarterly profit rose 25 percent, helped by energy prices in Alberta, and stronger wind and hydro margins. But, it forsees a tougher fourth quarter.
President and CEO Steve Snyder -- who is leaving his role in the new year – tells BNN the power company is tracking well, but the next quarter will be “a bit tougher.”
“I think pricing will ease up a bit, and we have some extra costs in that quarter. But yes, we’re going to have a strong year when we get to the end of December.”
