Staff dressed as Mounties welcomed U.K. customers to the country's first Tim Hortons store on Friday.

Hundreds of coffee fans lined up outside its new Glasgow location before the store opened its doors Friday morning. The first guest in line camped out for 15 hours to win a one-year supply of free coffee. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he ordered a "triple triple."

Tim Hortons, which started promoting its arrival to the British Isles this April through a social media campaign, plans to roll out more locations through the U.K. over the next year.
